Fresh Spring Colors

February 9th, 2008

Spring Assorted StonesHere is a new twist on an exciting design! I re-designed this necklace and earrings using Citrine, Peridot, Blue Howlite and a brite blue Turquoise. I also made the earrings so that they hang the opposite way from a small sterling silver hoop instead of facing forward with the filigree component used in the previous design.

Feel fresh and clean wearing this necklace and earrings designed especially for springtime!

Fiesta!

August 1st, 2007

I designed this three strand necklace and matching earrings totally on a whim….and it turned out to be one of my favorites! I started with the strand of Red Howlite, then added the second strand made with Turquoise and Garnets. The third strand is made out of oval pieces of Citrine separated with sterling silver spacers. The matching earrings have a little bit of everything linked together so that they really dangle. As suggested by a Natural Beauty Jewelry enthusiast (my brother Matt), this design fully deserves the name “Fiesta!”.

Amazonite, Dyed Mother of Pearl, Citrine and Apatite

July 12th, 2007

This necklace is two strands attached at the clasp and wrapped together. The large nuggets are a stone called Amazonite, a gemstone that is named after the Amazon River. Amazonite is not however found anywhere near the Amazon River. It is said that Amazonite is a stone that helps with self-expression and communication. The second strand is composed of dyed Mother of Pearl tubes, Citrine and an aqua colored stone called Apatite. The earrings are made with the dyed Mother of Pearl, Citrine and Apatite as well.
