Many of you may not know this about me…but I have a great passion for music having been surrounded by it over the years and while growing up. My family was one that often participated in choirs, orchestras, bands, and independent music lessons. I studied music throughout high school and into my college years and I believe that everyone should have at least a minimal amount of exposure to classical, orchestral and symphonic literature.

I was recently asked to donate some of my jewelry to the Saint Paul Civic Symphony’s annual silent auction/fund raiser. They are a local non-profit symphony that performs free concerts in the greater Saint Paul area. It is an organization that provides not only a venue for local musicians in which to perform, but an enriching musical experience for all ages of the community. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity to donate some of my jewelry to such a wonderful cause.

I recently designed this necklace and earrings using beautiful aquamarine stones and white freshwater pearls. I first presented the piece to a certain someone and they exclaimed, “It looks like an ocean wave!”… and what a perfect description.

When I tried on the necklace for the first time, it took on a life of its own and the two longer strands overlapped each other. This unique design was unintentional but a quality that myself and many people enjoy about it. It is a fairly new piece, but will be up on the website soon, so check back soon!

Here is a new twist on an exciting design! I re-designed this necklace and earrings using Citrine, Peridot, Blue Howlite and a brite blue Turquoise. I also made the earrings so that they hang the opposite way from a small sterling silver hoop instead of facing forward with the filigree component used in the previous design.
